Photography, listings, payments, sales tax, packing, customs, tracking, returns and the person who answers when something goes wrong. None of it is why you bought a printer.

The splits
Three lanes. Pick per product.
You don't have to choose once and live with it. A file can sell in one lane while the finished object sells in another — most of our creators run at least two.

of the sale price, to you
STL, 3MF, SVG, DXF, project files
You upload, we host, sell and handle VAT and chargebacks. No exclusivity — list the same file anywhere else you like.

You make it. We store, sell and ship it.
Send us stock. We photograph it, list it, hold it, pick and pack it, and deal with the customer. You keep making things.

- Storage, picking and shipping
- Returns handled and reported
15%
royalty on every unit sold
We manufacture your design and own the inventory.
We fund the production run, carry the stock risk and pay you a royalty on every unit sold. You design; you never buy inventory.
- We fund the run
- Royalty on every unit
- You keep the design rights
Our 15% on files covers hosting, payment processing, and sales tax / VAT filed in your customer’s country. The 30% on consignment adds photography, storage, picking, packing, shipping and returns handling.
How it goes
From first email to first payout
- 01
Show us the work
A few photos and a sentence about what it is. No portfolio, no deck, no business plan. If it's good and you made it, that's the bar.
- 02
We cost it honestly
What it costs to make, what it should retail at, and whether it's worth producing at volume. Sometimes the honest answer is no — we'll say so.
- 03
Pick your lane
Sell the file, consign finished stock, or let us manufacture it and pay you a royalty. You can run different products in different lanes.
- 04
We handle the boring half
Photography, listing, payments, tax, packing, shipping, customs, returns, support. You go back to the part you actually like.
Tiers
Start free. Move up when it makes sense.
Nobody is pushed upward. Plenty of creators stay on Open Shelf for years because it's the right fit — the tiers exist to add capacity, not to extract a subscription.

FAQ
The questions we actually get
Do I lose the rights to my design?
No. You own your designs, always — including anything you send us for file prep or production. If we fund a production run as a Studio Partner, we own that physical inventory, not the design. If the partnership ends, the design walks out with you.
Is there exclusivity?
Not for digital files or consignment — list the same work on MakerWorld, Printables, Cults3D, Etsy, your own shop, anywhere. Studio Partner products are exclusive to Creasum while the agreement runs, because we're carrying the inventory risk.
What does it cost to start?
Nothing. Open Shelf and Curated are free to join; we only earn when something sells. Services like printing, cutting or photography are paid work and are quoted before we start.
I only have one printer and a day job. Am I too small?
That's the person this section was built for. Open Shelf has no volume requirement and no review. The services exist precisely so that one machine and some evenings is enough to take a real order.
What happens if a customer complains?
We take the first contact, the refund and the return. You get a short report of what went wrong — defect, shipping damage, or a listing that oversold the thing — so you can fix the cause rather than argue with a stranger.
How and when do I get paid?
Monthly, for everything that cleared the return window in the prior month, with a $20 minimum balance. Bank transfer, PayPal or Wise. Every payout comes with a line-by-line statement.
Can you make something I designed but can't manufacture?
That's the small-batch service. Send the file and the quantity you're imagining. The costing review is free and comes back with three routes and an honest break-even, even if the answer is that you should keep printing it yourself for now.
Do you work with people outside your shipping countries?
You can be anywhere. Our fulfilment reaches 38 countries for your customers; creators themselves work with us from wherever they are, as long as we can pay you there.
